Precautions & Side Effects

Patients who are considered poor candidates and usually told not to buy Valdoxan include:

• Patients under age 18 or over age 75
• Individuals with liver issues
• Individuals who have dementia from any cause

Patients who may require modified dosing and increased monitoring include:

• Patients who have a history of bipolar disorder, mania, or hypomania
• Patients who take medications that influence levels of the CYP1A2 enzyme or rely on CYP1A2 for metabolism.

Otherwise healthy patients are unlikely to experience serious side effects. Most common include:

• Nausea or vomiting
• Abnormal dreams
• Drowsiness
• Dizziness
• Back pain
• Diarrhea or constipation
